Women in Cybersecurity Virtual Capture the Flag
Women Only Virtual Capture the Flag
Co-hosted by WiCyS (Women in Cybersecurity) Colorado
Cisco/Cybersecurity Ventures 2019 Cybersecurity Almanac estimates that women make up 20% of the world’s cybersecurity workforce. That’s up significantly from 11% in 2014! Women are entering the Cyber Space at record numbers, but the future is still at risk.
Our Women Only Capture the Flag event is designed specifically for women who want to dive headfirst into the cybersecurity game in a welcoming environment where you can build confidence and network with women in the cybersecurity community!
Capture the Flag is an event where individuals and teams compete against each other in a cybersecurity game that is full of puzzles to solve. Our Cybersecurity CTF environment contains four different domains: Linux, Application Security, Cryptography, and Steganography. We’ll start you off with our beginner-friendly levels, and our instructor will help guide you through setup, navigating the environment, and learning the basics of Capture the Flag.
You can work individually or as a team. It’s up to you! Once you’ve mastered the beginner levels, you can spread your hacking wings and fly confidently through the game system! Challenge yourself by moving into our more difficult domains and you’ll hone your skills in Linux, Cryptography, and more.
Join us for snacks, drinks, and cybersecurity fun. Bring a friend and snag some swag!
This SecureSet event is eligible for 3 hours of CPE credit! Ask a SecureSet staff member at the event if you would like to receive a CPE certificate.
