This 101 will dive into Microsoft PowerShell. PowerShell is the scripting language and shell framework that is primarily used on Windows computers and can now can be installed on Apple and Linux systems. PowerShell has been around for more than 10 years and is an inevitable replacement for the CLI (command line interface), it’s a versatile tool to learn for admin tasks, server configurations and much more.

As a Senior IT and security consultant with over 20 years of experience, Alain Morgado has extensive knowledge in conducting network, web application, and wireless penetration tests with enterprise organizations. Alain holds the following certifications: CISSP, GSEC, CEH, OSCP, Sec+, and CCNA.

+ We recommend that you bring a system with Microsoft PowerShell (Windows 7-10) for hands-on practice, but no materials are required when attending.
Public parking is available in the Palm Parking Garage. There are two-hour parking spots available along the street as well. The main entrance to SecureSet is located on the patio at the East side of the old Don Vicente hotel. You will see an open black gate at the back-right corner of the East patio. Take the stairs to the second-floor patio and enter through the French doors.

Hacking 101 is an opportunity for you to gain technical knowledge and find out if cybersecurity is something you’re passionate about. No experience is required. Just show up and learn something new!
