Diversity in Cybersecurity Expert Panel
SecureSet Presents: Diversity in Cybersecurity Expert Panel
SecureSet’s focus is to secure the future by providing immersive cybersecurity education and community engagement. Part of this mission is to help solve the lack of diversity in the cybersecurity workforce. Join SecureSet and other passionate organizations as we ask the big questions and work together to seek viable solutions!
Cybersecurity Ventures projects 3.5 million open positions in cybersecurity by 2021, costing the world an estimated $6 trillion per year! The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that in 2019, of 97,000 Information Security Analysts only 24% are women and only 24% identify as an ethnicity other than “white.” The percentages are even lower for many other job titles in the cybersecurity space, especially leadership roles.
Increasing diversity in the cybersecurity workforce will not only help to address the massive shortage of skilled employees, but studies show that a diverse workforce is more productive, more profitable, and better able to serve the needs of the company, the customer, and the industry as a whole.
Join us for a candid discussion with our distinguished panel as we look at how the lack of diversity in the cybersecurity industry is harming everyone. We will explore potential solutions and work as a community to overcome this barrier together. Help us secure the future!
