Creating a Virtual Lab
Hacking 101: Creating a Virtual Lab
This 101 will introduce a tool for creating a controlled penetration testing environment. A VirtualBox is a Virtual Machine (VM) and is an operating system or application environment that is installed and used for the purpose of imitating dedicated hardware. The user will have the same experience on the VM that they would have on the dedicated hardware. This allows the user to set up their own virtual hacking lab, in which they can conduct pen testing and improve their hacking skills without affecting the native OS.
This SecureSet Hacking 101 workshop is eligible for 2 hours of CPE credit! Ask a SecureSet staff member at the event if you would like to receive a CPE certificate.
