Beginner’s Intro to Capture The Flag – NCC Edition
We are very excited to host this Capture the Flag event at the National Cybersecurity Center! Join us for an evening of CTF fun and learn about the mission of this important institution in the world of cybersecurity.
There’s nothing wrong with being a n00b. Everyone starts somewhere. Our Intro to CTF event is designed to help beginners spread their hacking wings and fly! Our SecureSet instructors will assist you with setting up your computer and will provide you with technical assistance if you need it. They’ll make sure that you learn some new hacking skills and have an awesome time doing it. Pizza, music, & prize give-a-ways accompany your CTF fun!
What to bring:
+ Linux or some other *nix system that they prefer. It can be a VM or bare metal system.
+ Ability to access 802.11n (2.4 GHz) wireless or if desired, the ability to connect to ethernet.
+ Most levels can be done with an SSH client and a web browser.
This event will be held off-campus at the National Security Center.
The main lot is open & free after business hours
If you love hacking and you enjoy a little competition, you won’t want to miss out on our CTF events. CTF is a way to put your real-life hacking skills to the test in a safe and controlled environment. If you get stumped, our Academy staff can answer any questions you have.
